Coming Sometime 2010: Vampyros Squidos
The final installment in the SYNSO trilogy of games. This time it’s war. Sort of. Cute, fluffy war anyway.
Fabled ZX Spectrum game author Kevin Toms has been kidnapped by aliens and had his code spread across six worlds. Player, can you help SYNSO to destroy the alien beings using beams of light from his head and rescue Kevin Toms from a fate worse than the Oric Atmos? Oh, I’m sure you can.
Due in 2010, Vampyros Squidos is the biggest and best SYNSO game yet. Full HD graphics at a native 1280×720, insane effects and highly playable time challenge gameplay across 6 stages.
Purchasers of the Bundle Of Wrong after 28th May 2010 who donate $10 or more will be able to access Vampyros Squidos 7 days before it’s full public release. No firm date yet, I’m afraid – it’ll be done when it’s done. I’m working on it!
Press Release
Bagfull of Wrong announce Vampyros Squidos and proudly present the cutest screenshots of 2010 to the eager gaming press and public alike.
Tired of simple shapes, abstraction and generic glows, the defiantly indie Bagfull Of Wrong today announced their latest game, Vampyros Squidos.
Set in an alternative 1980’s where cute alien robots have kidnapped Software Star Kevin Toms, you play a squid with colourful laser beams intent on preserving the future of games as we know it. By destroying everything in sight, obviously.
Featuring HD graphics and the biggest explosions outside of something with really large explosions, Vampyros Squidos draws on our arcade and home computer legacy to create an arena shooter like no other. With a focus on accessibility, Vampyros Squidos is a game that’s easy to pick up and play and guaranteed to bring a smile to even the most hard faced miserable person. And quite possibly your mum too if we don’t blind her first.
“Everyone should have the right to fill their screen with colour and smile through their days”, developer Robert Fearon said when asked about the motivation behind developing the game. “Who doesn’t want to feel like they’ve blown up the entire universe and come out of the other side without a scratch?”
“Imagine if Eugene Jarvis, Jeff Minter and kids television had a threesome and produced a child. Yeah, that’s Vampyros Squidos” he said before being told to shush in no uncertain terms.
Vampyros Squidos is the third entry into the underground indie hit series Squid Yes, Not So Octopus. The only series of games based on a lyric by popular beat combo Half Man Half Biscuit.
The game will be available for the home personal computer system during spring/summer 2010 with a release date to be announced soon.
About Bagfull Of Wrong.
Bagfull Of Wrong is the home of the games of Robert D. Fearon. Whilst Robert hates the term “indie developer” he understands that “Super Smiley Happy Go Lucky Fun Maker” is not a widely understood term amongst the public. Nor is “Stellar Engineer”.

It is 2010 and we still don’t have flying cars. What’s that all about?
